Abstract: Excitons in two-dimensional semiconductors provide an appealing platform for studying exciton physics and realizing exciton-mediated electronic and optoelectronic devices. In this talk, I will demonstrate the observation of the four and five-particle excitonic complexes in monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides by optical spectroscopy. Interestingly, we found these strong many-body interactions are originated from the "dark" excitons in the device, in contrast to the "bright" excitons, which have been widely studied. The dark excitons physics provide opportunities to realize the exciton condensation mediated dissipationless electronics.
